General Dynamics‘ ordnance and tactical systems unit has been awarded a potential $59.9 million contract for the delivery of 30mm x 173mm ammunition to the U.S. Army.

The Defense Department said Monday the company will supply armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot along with tracer cartridges under the firm-fixed-price contract.

Work is scheduled to be completed by May 31, 2021.

The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the contract via the internet and will determine performance locations and funds with each order.
