Army, Ten80 to Co-Host STEM Education Event

Ten80 Education and the U.S. Army has launched an educational program with the goal to engage high school students in science, technology, engineering and math.

The Army Marketing and Research Group said Tuesday the STEMFest event will offer an opportunity for students to hone their teamwork, leadership and critical thinking skills with through a series of interactive workshops with Army soldiers.

The workshops aim to guide students on how to transition concepts into operational technologies through STEM-related coding, gaming and marketing activities.

The Army aims to reach students nationwide through the partnership with Ten80 and help them understand educational opportunities the service branch offers to prepare them for STEM careers.

STEMFest kicked off Monday at in Miami, Florida, and will conclude Nov. 14 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
