Engility has won a five-year, $49 million contract to provide research and development support for the U.S. Air Force‘s weapon systems testing technology program.

The Defense Department said Friday Engility will develop multi-spectral and multi-modal phenomenology modeling tools as well as help the Air Force build and transition weapon systems under the Kinetic Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation Technology for Advanced Research project.

The company will perform work in Eglin Air Force Base in Florida through Aug. 31, 2022.

The Air Force Research Laboratory awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract as a result of a broad agency announcement and obligated $150,300 at the time of award from fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
