James Willis, currently head of defense and security at Vodafone UK, and Steve Fitz-Gerald, formerly CEO of Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, will join QinetiQ as managing directors for two different business areas.

QinetiQ said Tuesday both appointees will also serve on the company’s executive committee and report directly to CEO Steve Wadey.

“James and Steve have proven track records of growth in their businesses, good customer relationships and experience of working in international markets,” said Wadey.

Willis will join Qinetiq in July as managing director of its cyber, information and training group after nine years as head of Vodafone’s defense and security business in the U.K.

He previously served as an officer in the British army’s corps of engineers and held various operational and business transformation positions at General Electric‘s financial services unit GE Capital.

Fitz-Gerald will bring previous experience in the U.S., Australia and U.K. markets when he joins Qinetiq in June to succeed Sarah Kenny as managing director of its maritime, land and weapons group.

Before Marshall ADG, he served as president of Cobham‘s aviation services division and group commercial director of BAE Systems‘ avionics business.
