Cepeda Systems & Software Analysis has received the 2016 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award from NASA in recognition of its engineering support to the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center.

The company said Wednesday the agency-level recognition came after it secured the MSFC award early this year.

CSSA also oversees NASA’s flight and ground software division and its efforts to implement process improvement platforms.

Other awards that NASA’s office of small business programs presented to companies include the Small Business Subcontractor of the Year, Mentor-Protege Agreement of the Year and the Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year.

Huntsville, Alabama-based CSSA is a woman-owned small business founded in 2001 and works to provide process improvement, systems and software engineering support to NASA, Defense Department and other federal agencies as well as commercial clients.
