Gov. Sohaib Alrawi of Anbar Province in Iraq has acknowledged Janus Global Operations’ mine clearing efforts in the province through a Twitter post.

Alrawi also recognized through the social media post the training support the company has provided to Iraqis to help deal with mines and other improvised explosive devices left by the Islamic State militant organization, JGO said Wednesday.

JGO has performed demining work in Ramadi, Iraq, since the spring of 2016 under a contract with the State Department and in collaboration with the United Nations Mission in Iraq and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

The governments of the U.S., Canada, Denmark and Germany also funded JGO’s work in Anbar to facilitate reconstruction and stabilization efforts in the province.

Tennessee-based Janus Global Operations provides risk and munitions management, demining, unexploded ordnance mitigation, logistics, communications, intelligence support and other client services.
