Cambridge International Systems has secured a prime contract to update a system the Federal Emergency Management Agency uses to plan, conduct and assess preparedness based exercises.
Arlington, Virginia-based Cambridge said Jan. 12 it will provide project design, development, implementation, integration, management, operations and maintenance services for the National Preparedness Integrated Exercise System.
The company will also host NPIES’ three-tier environment with an infrastructure-as-a-service platform as well as operate and maintain the preparation toolkit architecture.
“Cambridge fully supports FEMA and the National Preparedness Systems’ goal of safety and resilience,” said Julie Partridge, a Cambridge vice president.
“We look forward to doing our part in creating a safer world by supporting the NPIES enhancement,” added Partridge.
