Orbital ATK has opened a new office at Hill Air Force Base in Utah in a move to help the military branch collaborate directly with the company to sustain Minuteman III boosters.

The company said Tuesday the 7,000-square-foot office space it leased at Falcon Hill Research Park will accommodate employees that work under the company’s propulsion subsystem support contract with the Air Force as well as future programs with Hill base.

Orbital ATK noted the new facility will also provide space for partners Boeing and Aerojet Rocketdyne.

The PSSC contract was signed in November 2015 and covers static-test firings, non-destructive testing, lab analysis and assembly/disassembly operations in support of Minuteman III boosters.

The contract will provide full-time employment for up to 50 individuals over the next five years.

Orbital ATK said it will continue to conduct physical operations and tests on the boosters at the company’s facilities in Promontory and Bacchus, Utah.
