Army Taps Robertson for Black Hawk External Fuel System A-Kits

Robertson Fuel Systems has secured a five-year, $42.1 million contract to supply 541 crashworthy external fuel systems bussed aircraft A-kits for the U.S. Army‘s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the company will perform work under the firm-fixed-price contract through Dec. 8, 2021.

The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the procurement effort through an online solicitation and the service branch will provide work locations and funds with each order.

Black Hawk, manufactured by Lockheed Martin‘s Sikorsky subsidiary, is designed for military troop extraction, aerial firefighting, VIP transport, medical evacuation, extraction, special operations, search-and-rescue and assault operations.
