networkScalable Network Technologies has received a five-year, $13.1 million contract to help the U.S. Navy update and maintain a radio simulation and modeling platform.

The Defense Department said Friday the company will provide technical support services for the Joint Network Emulator software and associated systems under the indefinite-deliver/indefinite-quantity contract.

Work will occur in Culver City and San Diego in California through Nov. 3, 2021.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific obligated $100,000 for the initial task order under the contract from the Navy’s fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds.

JNE, sponsored by the Joint Tactical Networking Center, works to simulate multiple joint tactical radios to test the systems’ performance in battlefield scenarios.
