Cloud securityMicrosoft will offer a suite of Booz Allen Hamilton products on the Azure Government Cloud as the companies seek to help agencies protect cloud-based workloads and comply with the Defense Department‘s security requirements.

Derek Strausbaugh, a principal program manager at Microsoft, wrote in a blog post published Friday that Booz Allen’s Virtual Cloud Defense portfolio is designed to support the development of custom applications, migration of existing applications and integration of commercial and government off-the-shelf systems.

Some of the platform’s features include deployment automation, encryption of data at rest, identity and authentication services, log aggregation, dashboards and analytics, network tiering and network traffic inspection and protection services, according to Straughsbaugh.

He added the Virtual Cloud Defense for Azure Government will work to help users secure dozens of applications in the cloud as well as address security requirements of small and large organizations.
