MSi Launches New Digital Relays, IED Cyber Defense System

cybersecurityMission Secure Inc. has launched a new multi-faceted cyber defense platform designed to secure protective digital relays, remote inputs and outputs, controllers and intelligent electronic devices.

The company said Tuesday it will demonstrate the MSi 1 platform against digital relay cyber attacks during the 2016 ICS Cyber Security Conference in Atlanta.

David Drescher, MSi CEO, said MSi 1 is designed to give users multiple types of cybersecurity protection against digital relays and basic control systems components in support of energy, defense and other industry clients.

He added the system works to address cybersecurity gaps, as well as mitigate shut downs, critical equipment damage and impacts caused by cyber attacks.

MSi 1 and the company’s Secure Sentinel Platform is programmed to prevent attackers and take corrective action before critical controllers and field devices are compromised, MSi Chief Technology Officer Daniel Park.

He noted that the company’s offerings aims to support integration without disruptions to customer operations.
