Mercury Systems to Provide GPS Modules for Precision Guided Munitions

Mercury-SystemsMercury Systems has been awarded a three-year, $32.5 million long-term supplier agreement from an unidentified defense prime contractor to provide GPS modules for precision guided munitions.

Mercury said Thursday it will provide GPS SAASM receivers under the LTSA.

Charlie Leader, a senior vice president and general manager at Mercury, said the company will work to deliver secure and rugged technology to support the country’s defense industry partners.

He added that Mercury’s microelectronics tools are designed to be secured, rugged and compact in an effort to address the requirements of its customers and nation’s warfighters.
