UTC to Refurbish F-100 Engine Components Under Air Force Contract

United Technologies Corp. has received a two-year, $41.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to remanufactureÂ F-100-PW-220/229 rear compressor stators and F100-PW-229 compressor stators, duct segments and variable vanes.

The Defense Department said WednesdayÂ the sole-source contract includesÂ foreign military sales and work will occurÂ in Oklahoma through July 27, 2018.

DoD noted theÂ Air Force has not obligated funds at the time of award.

The F-100 engine, manufactured by UTC subsidiary Pratt & Whitney,Â powersÂ the Air Force’s F-15 Eagles and most of the international air forces’ F-16 Fighting Falcons.
