UTC to Refurbish F-100 Engine Components Under Air Force Contract

United Technologies Corp.United Technologies Corp. has received a two-year, $41.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to remanufacture F-100-PW-220/229 rear compressor stators and F100-PW-229 compressor stators, duct segments and variable vanes.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the sole-source contract includes foreign military sales and work will occur in Oklahoma through July 27, 2018.

DoD noted the Air Force has not obligated funds at the time of award.

The F-100 engine, manufactured by UTC subsidiary Pratt & Whitney, powers the Air Force’s F-15 Eagles and most of the international air forces’ F-16 Fighting Falcons.
