USAID, Tetra Tech Partner to Help Protect Indonesia’s Marine Resources

Tetra Tech has received a $32 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development to support marine and biodiversity conservation efforts in Indonesia.

The company said Wednesday that it will collaborate with USAID as well as Indonesian agencies at the national, regional and community levels to update policies that govern Indonesia’s management of marine ecosystem.

“Tetra Tech has supported USAID’s coastal resource management programs in Southeast Asia for 25 years,” said Dan Batrack, chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech.

Batrack added the company aims to provide tools for the Indonesian government to manage the impacts of climate change on the country’s marine and coastal resources.

Indonesia, USAID, Tetra Tech will also work to identify fisheries and coral reefs management strategies as well as help coastal communities cope with climate change.
