Parsons serves as a sponsor of the Business-Higher Education Forum’s Future Cuber Leaders Program, a seven-week program supported by the Office of Naval Research that is held every Wednesday afternoon through July 20.

FCLP is designed to provide undergraduate interns opportunities for cyber academic enrichment, leadership development and networking, Parsons said Tuesday.

The program is currently in its pilot year and began June 8.

It features guest speakers from the cyber industry and policy community, professional developmental seminars and presentations by faculty members from Northern Virginia colleges, as well as a number of activities, including tours of government and corporate facilities, hack-a-thons and other cyber competitions.

“By participating in the Future Cyber Leaders Program, we hope to broaden students’ cybersecurity experience and grow their passion for the industry,” said Biff Lyons, Parsons executive vice president and defense and security division manager.

Parsons will also codevelop a cybersecurity activity with BHEF to serve as a networking and development tool for the participating students as part of the company’s sponsorship.
