Offshore drilling contractor Transocean has renewed a multiyear contract with Harris CapRock Communications to deliver satellite communications services for the former’s entire fleet.
Harris said Wednesday its Harris CapRock One system will work to boost the bandwidth, for fleet connectivity and support pricing flexibility.
Services will cover Transocean fleet deployed to the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, Brazil, the Asia-Pacific region, Africa’s West Coast and the United Arab Emirates.
Harris CapRock President Tracey Haslam said the installation of the Harris CapRock One system aims to facilitate technology reliability in support of future Transocean operations.
