Disaster Recovery Institute International, a nonprofit business continuity management firm, has named Northrop Grumman as the organization’s Service Provider of the Year awardee.
Northrop was presented the award at a DRI conference in Atlanta for the company’s work in service continuity across Virginia, Northrop said Friday.
DRI recognizes companies that displayed excellence in continuity management, technology recovery and crisis management.
Ed Sturms, a vice president of system modernization and services at Northrop, said that the company works to bring assistance to the state of Virginia to develop IT infrastructure for the state government.
He also noted that Northrop’s partnership with Virginia pushed for the development of service continuity plans for disaster recovery services across its agencies.
