Booz Allen Hamilton has bared the company’s plan to expand its big data analytics operations in Boston, The Boston Globe reported Tuesday.
Jon Chesto writes the McLean, Virginia-based company will transfer its Boston office at Batterymarch Street to a new 13,000-square-foot office at Milk St. in February 2016.
Fred Blackburn, Booz Allen’s executive vice president, told the Boston Globe he sees the addition of 100 new data scientists to the new office over the next 18 months.
“There’s such a rich talent pool here in the Boston space,” Blackburn told the publication.
Booz Allen started to increase its Boston staffing levels after the company recognized data analytics practice as a prime resource in the area, according to the report.
