IT services contractor HumanTouch has hired Pete Sandlin of the U.S. Marine Corps and Mario Suarez of HP Enterprise Services for director roles at the company.
HumanTouch said Thursday it appointed Pete Sandlin, formerly deputy program manager at Marine Corps Systems Command, director of strategic services and product solutions.
Mario Suarez, a former senior program manager at HP Enterprise Services, will be director of defense services.
Sandlin and Suarez will work to explore new business opportunities in platform-as-a-service and cloud markets and expand HumanTouch’s Defense Department business.
“Pete has a deep understanding of DoD IT programs and strong relationships with some of our existing customers,” said Moe Jafari, president and CEO of HumanTouch.
“Mario has led several enterprisewide system implementations for DoD as a contractor.”
Sandlin is a 39-year government veteran who has held program management and information technology systems analysis roles at the Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Navy and Naval Security Group.
Suarez brings more than two decades of business management and enterprise IT experience to his role at HumanTouch and helped oversee the office of defense secretary’s SECDEFCOM Enterprise IT initiative as a senior program manager.
