General Dynamics to Provide Dual-Band Earth Station Design for LATAM Satellite TV

general-dynamics-logo2A subsidiary of General Dynamics will provide an Earth station antenna reflector and communications signal feed design to Chile-based satellite communications integrator Pascom to support simultaneous Ku-band and Direct Broadcast Satellite-band transmissions.

General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies will supply a nine-meter antenna and six-port feed for installation and integration into the Earth station, the company said Monday.

Pascom will deliver the station to support the on-demand satellite television programming services of multimedia entertainment company Claro across Latin America.

According to General Dynamics, its team will utilize an Earth station design with low passive intermodulation to enable simultaneous transmission without interference.
