Foreign Affairs magazine and Booz Allen Hamilton will co-host an event to discuss possible ways to improve acquisition programs in the defense sector amid emerging threats and budget constraints.
The “Modernizing the Military” event will feature Deputy Defense Secretary Robert O. Work as keynote speaker and will be held at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington on Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m, Booz Allen said Wednesday.
The event will also discuss programs related to command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms and present the “Modernizing the Warfighting Network for the Future Force†panel discussion with Janine Davidson, senior fellow for defense policy at the Council on Foreign Relations, as the moderator.
Panelists include:
- Greg Wenzel, executive vice president and lead of digital solutions/C4ISR within Booz Allen Hamilton’s strategic innovation group
- Gen. Mark Milley, U.S. Army chief of staff
- Michele Flournoy, Center for a New American Security CEO
