IARPA_logo_EMThe Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity has kicked off a search for a new sensor environment as part of efforts to further build up intrusion detection technologies.

IARPA said Friday it wants sensors that can apply “non-typical data” in a cybersecurity domain under its Cyber-attack Automated Unconventional Sensor Environment program.

Performers are asked to gather new signals from internal and external sensors in order generate warnings, as well as to detect and forecast cyber attacks.

IARPA started the program in an effort to address potential cyber threats against U.S. industry organizations that have joined the CAUSE program.
