DoD said Thursday the fellows will perform basic science and engineering research work for up to five years with the goal of helping the department address technical issues.

Areas of research covered by this year’s NSSEFF program include engineering biology, neuroscience, quantum information science, nanoscience, applied mathematics, statistics and novel engineered materials.
