technology, cyber, cloud, computerISC and the Cloud Security Alliance have jointly launched a cloud security certification in a move to set the standards for validating skills in cloud management security worldwide, Talkin’ Cloud reported Monday.

Ericka Chickowski writes the Certified Cloud Security Professional certification builds on existing Certified Information Systems Security Professional and CSA’s Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge programs.

“[The] credential combines the collective experience and research of both organizations and establishes a new benchmark for advanced cloud security knowledge and competence,” David Shearer, executive director of ISC, was quoted as saying.

According to the report, applicants for CCSP need to have three years of information security experience and one year for cloud computing.

ISC and CSA will perform the test on architectural concepts and design, cloud data security, cloud platform and infrastructure security, cloud application security, legal and compliance, and operations, Chickowski reports.
