Raytheon will provide ground stations for Global Hawk unmanned aircraft systems based in South Korea under a $45.7 million contract with Northrop Grumman.
The work to supply one building-based and one mobile ground segment to support four of the Korean surveillance planes will occur in Dulles, Virginia through mid-2019, Raytheon said Monday.
Todd Probert, vice president of mission support and modernization at Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services segment, said Raytheon technology was built into the original Global Hawk ground station platform.
The aircraft is used in humanitarian and disaster relief, airborne communications, information-sharing and other operations.
