SRA International has won a $32.8 million contract with the Defense Logistics Agency to update the defense retiree and annuitant pay system.

SRA’s PeopleSoft and military retiree and annuitant payroll subject matter experts will work with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service to upgrade and implement the retirement pay system, SRA said Monday.

“SRA is proud to collaborate with DLA and DFAS as we work to enhance this key financial management program in support of our Armed Forces members,” said George Batsakis, executive vice president of SRA’s national security group.

DFAS oversees payments to Defense Department service members, employees, vendors and contractors using DRAS.

The system’s existing mainframe technology is nearing the end of its planned lifecycle, SRA says.
