Big Data, AppsCisco has invested $238,000 in a big data joint venture with Asystec, Tech Central reported Monday.

Cisco will provide big data services to the partnership and Asystec will contribute human resources, marketing and training at the innovation labs in Belfast, Dublin, Limerick and Cork, according to the report.

“With each new person, process, piece of data, or thing that comes online, the connection possibilities between all these elements grows exponentially,” Adam Grennan, Cisco Ireland manager, told the publication.

“And yet, it’s not the act of getting connected – or even the number of connections – that creates the value. Rather, it’s the outcomes the connections make possible,” he told Tech Central.
