Jonathan Becher, formerly chief marketing officer for SAP, will be the company’s inaugural chief digital officer in charge of the newly formed digital business segment.
SAP said Monday Becher will help manage the company’s potential expansion into the content and data markets as it centralizes its online service delivery operations onto the SAP Store.
“Jonathan will not only be responsible for building a major new revenue stream for the company, he will also make Run Simple a reality for customers and consumers that engage with us digitally,” said Bill McDermott, SAP chief executive officer.
Becher joined the company in 2007 and has experience in technology and marketing.
Maggie Chan Jones, formerly a senior vice president at Level 3 Communications, has joined SAP to take over as CMO.
Jones previously worked at Microsoft, where she helped launch the Office 365 cloud business.
