McAfee has rolled out a new firewall product in an effort to help commercial and government clients respond to threats.
The offering is built to integrate with different McAfee technologies and security frameworks, the company said Oct. 15.
Pat Calhoun, general manager of network security at McAfee, said the company built the firewall to help customers “outmaneuver attackers with even greater ease and precision.”
The firewall system is designed to use endpoint data from McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator for users to investigate incidents and to tramit real-time updates to the firewall.
The offering features protection services such as granular application control, intrusion prevention system, built-in virtual private network and deep packet inspection.
