Japan-based Mitsubishi Electric has chosen MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates to provide Ku-band and Ka-band antenna subsystems as part of a new contract worth $10 million.
MDA said Thursday that the antennas will equip a commercial telecommunications satellite as the company works to expand its multibeam communications portfolio in the Japanese market.
MDA is a communications and information company that is headquartered Canada.
