Jay Kidd, formerly senior vice president and chief technology officer at NetApp, has joined the advisory board of Infinio.
He will assist Infinio in the company’s initiatives to expand its product offerings and holds experience in storage, networking, software and high-performance systems, Infinio said Tuesday.
“Our collaboration with NetApp is strategic to Infinio, and we are honored to have Jay Kidd’s support and counsel as we continue to move forward in the fast-growing storage acceleration market segment,” said Arun Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of Infinio.
Kidd was most recently responsible  for NetApp’s technology direction, architecture, development, evangelism and standards.
He has also served as chief marketing officer at NetApp and led the emerging products group.
Kid served as chief technology officer and vice president of product management at Brocade before he joined NetApp.
