Paul Kahn, formerly president and CEO of Thales‘ operations in Canada, has joined Airbus Group as president of the aerospace and defense conglomerate’s business in the U.K.
He will succeed Robin Southwell, who has left Airbus after a nearly 10-year career there, and be responsible for Airbus Group’s relationships with the British` government, armed forces and industry, Airbus said Wednesday.
“Paul comes from Thales with a strong track record and an ambition to develop Airbus Group in the UK to the next level,” said Marwan Lahoud, chief strategy and marketing officer of Airbus Group.
Kahn, a chartered engineer, previously worked for Ford Motor Co. in Europe and the U.S. prior to his senior business unit and corporate roles at Thales.
He also led the British defense ministry’s reviews of procurement processes.
