Lockheed-Built CLIO Satellite Launches Into Space

A satellite thatÂ Lockheed MartinÂ designed and built for the U.S. governmentÂ launched into space Tuesday fromÂ Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The CLIOÂ satellite took off aboard aÂ United Launch Alliance-built Atlas V launch vehicle,Â Lockheed said Tuesday.

CLIO incorporates Lockheed’sÂ A2100 satellite bus withÂ solar arrays, propulsion system and core electronics.
