FireEye_logo_EMFireEyehas moved to expand its attack and threat detection portfolio with the consolidation of the Rapid7 UserInsight product into FireEye’s threat analytics platform.

Steve Pataky, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at FireEye, said Monday that his company intends to work with Rapid7 to analyze large volumes of network-wide data for security teams to gain intelligence on incidents and schedule actions.

“By integrating UserInsight with the FireEye threat analytics platform, organizations can identify when unusual user behavior is paired with other suspicious activity on their network,” said Lee Weiner, senior vice president of products & engineering at Rapid7.

UserInsight works to identify and investigate compromised information across on-premise, cloud and mobile platforms based on user behavior.

FireEye customers will be able to gain full view of attacks targeting organizations by using additional data from Rapid7, FireEye says.

The threat analytics platform works to convert log data into metadata for analysis and send reports to security teams.
