Leidos Orders Smiths Detection-Built Airport Security Supplies for TSA; Terry Gibson Comments

operational security1Leidos has awarded a multi-million dollar order to Smiths Detection for airport security tools and support services to support a contract Leidos holds with the Transportation Security Administration.

Smiths Detection will supply trained field support and parts for X-ray and explosives trace detection technology for four years to approximately 400 airports across the U.S., Smiths Detection said Tuesday.

“We are committed to helping our customers protect travelers across the U.S. and around the world,” said Terry Gibson, president of Smiths Detection.

Smiths Detection will provide technical training to the field staff at the company’s Edgewood, Maryland-based training and service center.
