NetApp CEO Tom Georgens Adds Board Chair Title, Michael Nevens Named Lead Independent Director

NetApp logo_EbizTom Georgens, NetApp CEO, has succeeded 20-year company veteran and former CEO Dan Warmenhoven as chairman of the board of directors.

Warmenhoven will continue to serve on the board until his term expires in September, when he will retire from the post, NetApp announced Monday.

Additionally, Michael Nevens has succeeded Nicholas Moore as lead independent director and Moore will also retire from the board in September, when the company will hold its annual meeting of stockholders.

Nevens joined the board in December 2009 and also serves as a director for Altera and Ciena Corp.
