Conway Jones Named Alameda County Veterans Affairs Chairman

b-w world-peopleConway Jones Jr., a board member at Concurrent Technologies Corp., has been elected chairman of Alameda County, Calif.’s Veterans Affairs Commission.

Jones will run the commission that assists and advise the county’s board of supervisors on needs and issues facing the veterans community, CTC announced Feb. 14.

The board plans to build a new $210 million Veteran Administration Outpatient Clinic and Columbarium at the former site of the Alameda Naval Air Station.

Alameda County has more than 70,000 veterans, CTC says.
