MBDA logoMBDA and the U.K.’s Ministry of Defence has conducted firing trials of Brimstone missiles integrated with a General Atomic‘s reaper drone, according to a FlightGlobal article.

Craig Hoyle writes that the trials took place between December 2013 and January 2014 at the China Lake test range in California.

The Brimstone missiles were fired at a range of static and high-speed maneuvering targets, according to the article.

“More than 98 times out of 100, Brimstone hit the mark during combat operations in Afghanistan and Libya,” said Doug Denneny, MBDA vice president of business development.

The Reaper drone currently uses Hellfire missiles.
